Privacy Policy

1. Overview
ConfTag ("we", "our", "the bot") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. By using ConfTag in your Discord server or via the dashboard at conftag.pro, you agree to this policy.
2. Data We Collect
We collect only the data necessary to operate the bot's features: • Server configuration: enabled modules, channel IDs, role IDs, and settings stored in our database. • Moderation records: cases (warns, mutes, bans, kicks) including the target user ID, moderator ID, reason, and timestamp. • Tag data: tag names, content, and usage counts. • Message IDs: used for reaction roles, giveaways, and confessions panels. • User IDs: associated with warnings, bans, level XP, giveaway entries, and invite tracking. • Invite statistics: inviter IDs, join counts, and fake/left counts per server. • Command logs: command names and timestamps (no message content). • Registration data: user-submitted names and ages if the register module is enabled, stored only within your server's database partition.
3. Data We Do NOT Collect
We do not collect or store: message content (except for tag content you explicitly create, autoresponder triggers, and confession messages submitted through the confession system), direct messages between users, voice activity beyond join/leave events for voice-based XP, payment or financial information, or any data from users who interact only with the bot without you enabling specific features.
4. How We Use Your Data
Data is used exclusively to: deliver the bot's features (moderation, tags, levels, etc.), display information in the dashboard, calculate statistics shown on the landing page (aggregate counts only), and diagnose errors and improve stability. We do not use your data for advertising, marketing profiling, or any purpose beyond operating the service.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, license, or share your data with any third party. We use the following sub-processors: • Discord API: to read server structure (channels, roles) and send messages. Discord's privacy policy applies to data processed by them. • Database provider (PostgreSQL on our VPS): data is stored on servers we control and is not shared. No analytics platforms, advertising networks, or data brokers receive any data.
6. Data Retention
Configuration data is retained as long as the bot is present in your server. Moderation cases are retained according to your server's configured retention period (default: indefinitely, configurable in Audit Logs settings). If you remove the bot from your server, your configuration remains for 30 days in case you re-add it, after which it is automatically deleted. You may request immediate deletion by contacting us.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to: request a copy of all data we hold for your server or user ID, request correction of inaccurate data, request deletion of your data (removing the bot triggers automatic deletion after 30 days; immediate deletion is available on request), and object to specific types of processing. To exercise these rights, contact us through our support server or at [email protected].
8. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (TLS), database access controls, and restricted server access. No system is perfectly secure; in the event of a data breach, we will notify affected parties as required by applicable law.
9. Children's Privacy
ConfTag is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from users under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such data, contact us for immediate removal. The Register module's age verification feature is designed to help server owners enforce their own age requirements.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy. We will notify users of material changes through our support server. Continued use after changes are effective constitutes acceptance. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision.
